Security Officer – Gatehouse

Location: Crewe
Pay Rate: £13.05 per hour
Hours: 07:00–19:00 / 19:00–07:00
Shift Pattern: Days, nights and weekends available

About the Role

Alpha Omega Securities Ltd are looking for professional and vigilant Security Officers to join our team in Crewe.

Working primarily from the site Gatehouse, you will be responsible for maintaining the security of the premises, controlling access and accurately recording vehicle and visitor movements. You will also conduct regular patrols and respond to incidents and emergencies when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the Gatehouse and control access to the site.
• Log vehicles entering and leaving the premises and record vehicle movements.
• Verify employees, visitors, contractors and vendors before granting access.
• Conduct regular internal and external security patrols.
• Deter and report theft, vandalism, unauthorised access and suspicious activity.
• Monitor site security and identify potential risks or breaches.
• Respond promptly to security and medical emergencies, providing first aid where trained.
• Liaise with emergency services and other relevant authorities when required.
• Complete accurate daily logs, handover information and incident reports.
• Work in accordance with the client’s Assignment Instructions and company procedures.

Skills & Experience

• Valid SIA licence.
• Previous security experience is desirable.
• Excellent observational and communication skills.
• Ability to remain alert and vigilant throughout long shifts.
• Confident dealing with employees, visitors and contractors.
• Good written skills with the ability to complete accurate reports.
• First Aid qualification is desirable.
• Reliable, professional and able to work independently.
