Security At WOSP Charity Night

We were honoured to provide the security for an excellent charity fundraiser called the 31st Grand Finale, which took place in our local community over the weekend. The charity fundraiser was organised by the wonderful Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, in partnership with WOSP Crewe. 

About The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity

The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is a public benefit organisation to raise awareness and support for public healthcare in Poland. Their work is focused on supporting medicine for children and improving the quality of care offered to senior patients in geriatric and long-term care units. Their mission is to act in the field of health care, saving the lives of people with illnesses, especially children, and working towards improving their health. 

To achieve this, they purchase new and advanced medical equipment for Polish hospitals and clinics. They also run eight medical programmes, which are carried out by both hospitals and clinics, and one educational programme, which is run in primary schools. 

The 31st Grand Finale Fundraiser

The 31st Grand Finale was a one day public fundraiser which raised funds for the purchase of the medical equipment and the running of the medical and educational programmes. This year, the 31st Grand Finale fundraiser was based on the theme: “We want to beat Sepsis! We play for all – the little and the big ones!”

The fundraiser took place in the Crozzy Club in Crewe on Saturday, 28th January. At the fundraiser, there was plenty of family entertainment including face painting, Moss Bikes, workshops, dance and gymnastic shows by Via Dance, Fraser Irish Dance, and Hopes and Beams. 

There was live music from 3pm by Cala Gora Barwinkow, Green Bullet, Ashborn, FRKS, Bored Adventures, and DJ Maxxy. In addition, there were auctions, prizes, a variety of Polish food, BBQ, and candy floss for everyone to enjoy.

The fundraiser was a massive success. There was a huge turnout of locals, families, volunteers, and non-profit organisations, including the Alpha Omega WPS Foundation. They raised an amazing £5,174, which will go towards the charity’s work. We are very sure that this money will help to change many people’s lives.
