Job Description:

Casual Event Security Officer

Location: Various event sites across the UK
Hours: Casual / As required (events run year-round with occasional off-peak periods)
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour

About the Role

We are looking for reliable and professional Casual Event Security Officers to support our events team. You will help ensure the safety, security, and smooth operation of events. Most work is aligned with our event schedule, but alternative security opportunities may be available during quieter periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-event checks
• Assist with safe entry, exit, and queue management
• Manage conflict safely and lawfully, including ejections when necessary
• Check passes, accreditation, and tickets
• Patrol venues effectively
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and preserve crime scenes if required
• Monitor spectators for distress, overcrowding, or inappropriate behaviour and report to the on-shift supervisor
• Identify potential hazards or suspicious activity and report appropriately
• Assist with evacuation and invacuation procedures
• Enforce venue policies and procedures
• Apply relevant law and legislation to duties
• Ensure fire exits and evacuation routes are kept clear
• Maintain health and safety compliance for all stakeholders

Requirements

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
• Valid First Aid qualification
• Professional, confident, and proactive
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and varied hours
