Try Something New with Courses from Alpha Omega

September is the Festival of Learning’s ‘Have a Go Month’.  A month dedicated to celebrating the importance of lifelong learning, and how it can transform people’s careers and lives.

The importance of lifelong learning

Lifelong learning is all about embracing the drive we all have to keep learning, growing and evolving throughout our lives.

Ensuring that we continue to push ourselves out of our comfort zones and learn new things throughout our adult lives brings many benefits. From improved self confidence and a sense of accomplishment, to the re-discovery of personal interests and goals, and even renewed self motivation.

Kick start a new career

If you’re feeling ‘stuck in a rut’ in your current field or role, then undertaking a training course could open up a whole host of new opportunities.

Not only could a new qualification open up a new line of work, but undertaking a training course can help you to build and refresh your creativity, critical thinking skills and your interpersonal skills!

If you’re thinking of taking on a new challenge in your work life, have you considered a career in the security industry? You can read all about working in the security industry.

If you are considering a career in the security industry, we offer courses that can provide the perfect place to start.

The Level 2 Award in Door Supervision is a five day course, certified by NOCN, and is a legal must for anyone wishing to work in the security industry, as either a Security Officer or a Door Supervisor.

We also offer The Level 2 Award in CCTV Operations, a three day course which is also certified by NOCN, and is a requirement for anyone who needs to operate a CCTV system viewing public places, as this course must be completed prior to applying for the SIA CCTV licence.

Learn valuable first aid skills

First aid training is an invaluable skill that saves people’s lives. Not to mention, The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 actually require all employers to make arrangements to ensure that their employees have access to immediate first aid if they are injured or taken ill at work.

If you’re thinking of learning a new skill, why not consider undertaking a first aid course? Not only could a first aid qualification allow you to take on extra responsibilities as a workplace first-aider, but you’ll have the knowledge and skill to help in an emergency situation anywhere.

The Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work is a fantastic introduction to the world of first aid. Run over one day, the course includes both theory and practical sessions in a relaxed atmosphere, designed to boost a candidate’s confidence.

If you are interested in furthering your first aid qualifications, or you work in a more high risk environment, then The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work could be the right choice for you. This course is completed over three days, and candidates will be equipped with the essential skills needed to give safe, prompt, and effective first aid in emergency situations.
