About the role

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Duty Manager to ensure the smooth running of daily operations across our sites. In this role, you will oversee staff performance, manage operational processes, and serve as a crucial link between site teams and senior management. Your contribution is key to maintaining high standards, regulatory compliance, and excellent service delivery.

Working Hours

  • Shift Pattern: 19:00 – 07:00 (4 days on / 4 days off rotation, after training)
  • Flexibility: Weekend shifts and additional hours may be required
  • Overtime: Available based on operational needs
  • Pre-Shift: Arrive 10 minutes early for handovers with the outgoing team
  • Reporting To: Operations Manager / Senior Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee daily site operations, ensuring security, safety, and service standards are upheld
  • Lead team briefings and coordinate action plans to meet company and client objectives
  • Maintain smooth communication and handovers during absences
  • Ensure control room standards are met, including cleanliness, organization, and documentation accuracy

Team Management

  • Collaborate with the Rostering Manager to create staff schedules and maintain adequate coverage
  • Ensure staff comply with company standards for appearance, training, and conduct
  • Monitor attendance and performance, addressing issues according to company procedures
  • Support onboarding, induction, and continuous training for new team members

Disciplinary & Investigations

  • Conduct investigations and manage disciplinary processes in line with company policy
  • Work with HR and senior leadership to ensure fair and timely resolutions

Site & Asset Management

  • Conduct regular site inspections to confirm all documentation, risk assessments, and instructions are current
  • Ensure staff adhere to uniform standards and perform regular equipment checks (e.g., first aid kits, fire extinguishers)
  • Supervise site opening and closing procedures to safeguard company assets

Vehicle & Equipment Oversight

  • Ensure company vehicles are clean, refueled, and inspected daily
  • Manage key control, allocation logs, and vehicle damage reports

Incident & Alarm Management

  • Respond promptly to alarm activations (within 30 minutes) and ensure accurate documentation
  • Oversee investigations of incidents and follow up appropriately

Training & Development

  • Facilitate ongoing, role-specific training for staff to maintain high operational standards
  • Support the professional development of control room operators, mobile officers, and site teams

Financial & Administrative Duties

  • Manage operations efficiently within budgetary constraints
  • Submit accurate weekly timesheets by 6:00 AM Monday for management review
  • Ensure all records and documentation are completed, filed, and retained correctly

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support transport coordination and maintain accurate transport logs
  • Track and resolve non-conformances or advisory notices
  • Promote cross-department communication and provide regular updates to senior management
  • Undertake other duties as needed to support operational needs

Candidate must have

Experience:

  • Security : 1 year (required)
  • Mangerial: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • SIA Licence (required)
  • CCTV Licence (preferred)
  • Clean UK Driving Licence Held for a minimum of 12 months (required)
