We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join Alpha Omega Securities Ltd, based in the Crewe area.

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
Location: Crewe (CW16ZF)
Hours: Mon – Fri 08:00 – 17:00 (potential for flexibility)

Finance Manager

About the role

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Finance Manager will be accountable for the smooth running of the
finance department of this 10m turnover business during an exciting time of growth. As part of the senior
leadership team, you’ll be responsible for managing the business’ finances, financial planning, forecasts and
strategies to assist the business in line with expansion plans and acquisition.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Overall accountability for the finance function including, Purchase Ledge, Sales Ledger, Credit Control and
    Payroll
  • Offering leadership, direction and development to the small finance team
  • Conduct all month-end procedures and prepare monthly management account, cashflow forecasting and
    budgets
  • Complete Year End processes, VAT returns and monthly PAYE in conjunction with company accountants
  • Support the implementation of systems and processes to continually improve efficiencies of the finance
    function
  • To work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accounts are working in collaboration with the wider
    business
  • Deal with Suppliers, Customers, Finance providers and other professional advisors
  • Arrange advance pay for employees, be cash, cheque or BACS
  • Reconciliation and payment to HMRC
  • Producing monthly commentary across profit & loss accounts and balance sheet
  • Producing weekly cashflow, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Financial reporting and analysis to go alongside the monthly P&L ready for Directors’ meetings


Knowledge, experience & skills required

  • Experience within a similar level Accounts / Finance Manager position
  • Commercial understanding of a fast-paced, dynamic business
  • Fully conversant with Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll software
  • Possess a good standard of numeracy and literacy
  • IT proficient – Competency in MS Office, Excel
  • Experience identifying and delivering change
