We therefore follow procedures which aim to ensure that all employees, contractors, agents, consultants, partners, or other persons who have access to any personal data held by or on behalf of Alpha Omega Securities Ltd, are fully aware of, and abide by their duties under, the Data Protection Act 2018.
In order to operate efficiently, Alpha Omega Securities Ltd has to collect and use information about people with whom it works.
This may include members of the public, current, past, and prospective employees, customers and suppliers.
In addition we may be required to collect and use information in order to comply with legal requirements.
This information must be handled and dealt with properly; however it is collected, recorded and used, and whether it be on paper, in computer records, or recorded by any other means.

Compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018 is the responsibility of all members of staff.
Any deliberate or reckless breach of this policy may lead to disciplinary, and where appropriate, legal proceedings.
Any questions or concerns about the interpretation or operation of this policy should be taken up with the Data Protection Officer (Managing Director).
Any individual, who considers that the policy has not been followed in respect of personal data about themselves, should raise the matter with the Personnel Department initially. If the matter is not resolved it should be referred to the Managing Director.
In some instances, we can process personal data only with the consent of the individual.
In some cases, if the data is sensitive, express consent must be obtained.
The consent of staff before this policy took effect is assumed.
Agreement to Alpha Omega Securities Ltd processing some specified classes of personal data is a condition of acceptance of a student to any course, and a condition of employment for staff. Some of our work will bring people into contact with young people between the ages of 16 and 18. Alpha Omega Securities Ltd has a duty under the Children Acts, and other legislation, to ensure that staff are suitable for their post, and students for the programmes offered.
Alpha Omega Securities Ltd also has a duty of care to all staff and students, and must therefore make sure that employees, and those who use our facilities, do not pose a threat or danger to other users, this includes conducting required CRB checks.
Alpha Omega Securities Ltd may ask for information about a person’s health, particular health needs such as allergies, or any conditions such as asthma or diabetes. We will only use such information in the protection of the health and safety of the individual.
The University may also ask for information about a person’s criminal convictions, race, gender, and family details. This is to ensure that our workplace is a safe environment for everyone, or to operate other policies, such as ‘equal opportunities’ policy.
Alpha Omega Securities Ltd will retain various types of information for differing lengths of time, depending on legal, training, and operational requirements.
This includes the storage and disposal of CRB check documentation.
