About the role

Due to continued expansion, we are looking to recruit an ambitious accountant to join our growing financial team.

Qualified either by examination or experience you will report directly to both the Financial Controller and Managing Director.

Candidates must have

A candidate will need to have:

  • Have a good working knowledge of Sage
  • Have a superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with the ability to work with existing spreadsheets and create new ones
  • Have worked in a business that provides people-based services on an hourly or daily basis (i.e. security staff, personal carers, agency workers etc.)
  • Be able to work to tight deadlines in a busy environment
  • Have an eye for detail
  • Be used to working as part of a team but also able to work unsupervised on their own initiative when required
  • Be able to manage their own time effectively
  • Be flexible in their approach and able to move between roles
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of staff including supervising others
  • You will have experience of the following:
  • Purchase ledger
  • Sales ledger and credit control
  • Control account reconciliation
  • Prepayments and accruals
  • Payroll
  • VAT
  • Detailed analysis of nominals
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts


9-5pm Monday – Friday

Pay rate: £30,000
